George Turgeon was a very loving father. Having raised 8 children in Michigan with his loving stay-home wife he provided an ideal family environment for his kids. I was the last child of the eight. I often felt as though I was being raised in the Cleaver family or the Brady Bunch family. Dad married his high-school sweetheart at the age of 19 and remained true for their 52 years together. My father didn't buy all of the expensive toys that many of his peers did. Instead he spent his money and shared his talents with his family. He spent all of his vacation and free time with us. Taking us on multiple camping trips, canoe trips, picnics, throughout the United States and Canada. Not many of my friends fathers spent this much time raising their kids. Our dad did. We knew we were his priority. Dad gave us an awesome childhood and we will always remember the things he sacrificed to provide us with memories and childhood he never had. These memories will always be cherished. I miss my dad every day. I try hard to be the man he was and look forward to seeing his loving and accepting smile when I too depart this mortal life. I love you dad. :)##imported-begin##Jeff Turgeon##imported-end##
