Teddy Lee Stevens' Obituary
Teddy Lee Stevens was a beloved husband, grandfather, father, brother, and uncle during his incredible 65 years of life. He passed away peacefully Saturday evening, June 7, 2025.
Teddy was born on March 3,1960 in New York to two loving parents, Theodore and Joyce Stevens. He had three sisters Lois, Lori and Edna along with his brother Mike and many nieces/nephews. He went to Perry Central High School in New York and did a tour of duty in the navy.
His primary occupation was an operator at Florida’s Natural, where he met his soul mate Penny Disher. They were married on December 29, 2006, and resided in Umatilla, Florida. He loved saying “3rd times a charm” about this marriage. He was a wonderful father to his son Ryan and stepchildren Brenda, Crystal and AJ.
We will remember “Papa Ted” for his loving nature, playfulness, humor and occasional stubbornness. He was a social butterfly and the life of any party. He often wore neon-colored shirts and enjoyed cooking and serving a big spread during holidays, including his famous pumpkin rolls and meatball subs. He liked to watch football, especially the Florida Gators team. But he spent most of his retirement basking in the joys of having his 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren around him.
We will miss Teddy dearly and he will be forever in our hearts.
