Stanley A. Branch's Obituary
Stanley was the youngest of seven children of the late Edward Branch Sr. and the late Dorothy L. Wright. He was born at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. He is preceded in death by four sisters.
Stanley graduated from Killian High School in Miami, Florida in 1978. He received a BA Degree in Criminal Justice from Ft. Valley State University in 1982. He is a graduate member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. Upon completion he returned to Miami, Florida and worked as a Federal Probation Officer until a medical retirement in 2010.
He was a mentor and father figure to his nephew, Bryon, and supported him wholeheartedly until his passing.
Stanley moved to Tavares, FL in 2012 to be close to his family because of health concerns. In 2013 he bought a home at Legacy of Leesburg in Leesburg, Fl. His happiest days were spent at the gym working out and cooking on his grill. His special sauce was his own creation and everyone that tasted it longed for the recipe.
He attended Southpointe Baptist Fellowship upon moving to Leesburg. He was as active as his health would allow him to be.
The Lord called him home on Sunday, September 13, 2015 after a lengthy health struggle. He is finally reunited with his beloved mother, father, and sisters.
He leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Jacqueline Overton, one brother, Edward Branch Jr., one nephew, Bryon Overton, one Niece, Samantha Faison, one very special cousin, Anthony Branch, six aunts, one uncle and a host of cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10:00AM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Graveside burial will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2015 and 11 a.m. at Lakeside Memory Gardens.
