Robert Gale Stocker's Obituary
Robert Gale Stocker, 92, of Eustis, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. Born in Springfield, Vermont, Robert proudly served his country in the US Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean War.
Robert dedicated most of his life to heavy construction, working as a foreman. Before retiring in 2002, he worked at the sewer plant in Mount Dora, Florida. In 1993, Robert met the love of his life, Lynn, and they shared 31 wonderful years together.
A member of the American Legion and the VFW in Vermont, Robert moved to the Eustis area from Putney, Vermont, in 1982. He had a passion for farming, having farmed in Vermont and previously owned an orange grove in Florida.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn; his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Dawn Stocker of Montpelier, Vermont; and their four daughters, his nieces, Karen, Kathy, Kelly, and Kim, along with their children, his great nieces and nephews.
A memorial ceremony will be held in Robert’s honor on Saturday, October 26, at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. A graveside inurnment ceremony with military honors will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, FL.
