Philip B Copare's Obituary
It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my beloved husband, PHILIP B. COPARE.
We shared four children Nicole Copare (Terry Stohs) of College Park, Christina Evard, (David)
of Tallahassee, Margaret Harbin (Kevin) of Mt. Dora, and Charles Warden of Tampa. He was
immensely devoted and proud of them. We have been blessed with seven grandchildren and nine
great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Frank Copare (Ann) of Woodstock, Georgia
and their three children and grandchildren.
With a Bachelor of Building Construction from the University of Florida and a Master of
Commercial Science (Business) from Rollins College in Winter Park, Phil devoted his life to
giving back to the construction industry. He was President of Construction Services Enterprise
which provided continuing education to contractors, as well as consulting and estimating. He
was a Master Trainer actively involved with the management academies since their inception.
He received an Outstanding Service Award by the National Center for Construction and
Research (NCCER) in recognition of ten year of outstanding education and willing service to the
construction industry at a charter instruction at the NCCER Management Academy. Phil also
served as a long time member of the GOAA Dispute Resolution Board.
He has been a member of Associated Builders and Contractors, Florida Building Material
Association, American Arbitration Association, American Association of Cost Engineers, Associated General Contractors, Dispute Resolution Board and
the National Center for Construction and Education Research.
His courses and publications relating to the industry were numerous.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Heller Hall in Winter Garden on August 20, 2023 from 1:00
p.m. thru 4:00 p.m.
