Morton Joseph Pomeroy's Obituary
Morton Joseph Pomeroy, age 77, of Tavares passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He was born January 18, 1942 in Detroit, MI and moved to Tavares in 2013 from Cedarville, MI. He was the owner/operator of five McDonald’s restaurants in Michigan for 22 years. Before getting into the restaurant business, he was a police officer in Michigan. He was also a veteran of the Michigan Air National Guard from 1959 until 1966. He is survived by his wife, Charla Rae Miller of Tavares, FL; daughter, Maureen Wolverton and her husband, Marc of Greenville, MI; step-daughter, April Perry and her husband, Michael of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Emma Jo Wolverton, Sean Wolverton, Jonathan Perry, Jessica Perry, Jaiden Perry, and Joshua Perry. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 3:00PM. Interment will be at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Saturday 03/30/2019 at 10:00AMIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Wing at AdventHealth Waterman Hospital, Tavares. Interment will at at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, Florida on Saturdat, March 30, 2019 At 10:00 AM.
