Marilyn J Kucik's Obituary
Marilyn Joyce Kucik of Eustis, Florida passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at the age of 87 years. She was born in Carmi, Illinois. Living in Indiana, Marilyn worked for the Merrillville School System as a school bus driver as well as in the lunch room. She and her husband Frank traveled back and forth to Leesburg, Florida for 10 years as snowbirds. They moved permanently in the mid 1990’s after she retired. Marilyn and Frank loved to travel and go fishing. They enjoyed their time together and with family. She also enjoyed gardening and working in the yard and she absolutely loved to play Bingo. Marilyn was a devout Christian and attended LifePointe Baptist Church in Eustis and the Methodist Church in Indiana. Marilyn was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was always cheerful. She had a positive outlook towards everything and instilled that in her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank. He passed away in July 2009. They shared 59 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her brother, Vern Burkhart. Marilyn is remembered and will be dearly missed by her son and daughter-in-law, David F. and Patricia Kucik of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel K. and Gwen Kucik of Clermont, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Laurie and Jack Hostetler of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; brother, Robert Burkhart of Hobart, Indiana; grandchildren, Kenneth (Sara) Kucik of Hartland, Wisconsin, Christina Hillimen of St. Paul, Minnesota, Kevin Kucik of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Adam (MJ) Hostetler of Orlando, Florida, Aaron Hostetler of Roanoke, Virginia and Alex (Brandy) Hostetler of Oak Ridge, TN; as well as 4 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Friday, March 9 from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon with a funeral ceremony starting at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis.
