Madelon Elaine Allen's Obituary
Madelon Elaine Allen, born October 23, 1934, in Baltimore, Maryland, to her loving parents Earnest and Madeline Welsh, passed away on February 12, 2026.
Madelon dedicated her professional life to serving as a secretary for the National Security Agency, a role she carried out with diligence and pride. After relocating to Florida, she made it her home for the past 39 years. She was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and lived her life with gentle grace and kindness.
A woman of creativity and curiosity, Madelon loved to paint and craft, finding joy in bringing beauty into the world. She cherished simple pleasures—like reading the comedies in the newspaper by flashlight—and she especially enjoyed eating grouper, one of her favorite meals. She also found peace and joy walking along the shoreline of a beach or island, searching for seashells and enjoying quiet moments of relaxation. Known affectionately as a “sweet Mama,” she will be remembered for her warmth, sweetness, and tender spirit.
Madelon shared 61 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Thomas G. Allen. She is survived by her son, Thomas (Evelyn Ramos) Allen; as well as her nieces and nephews: Kathy (Jim) Cordner; Ernie (Karen) Welsh; Mark Welsh; Tracy Welsh; and Donna Welsh.
Madelon also leaves behind dear friends from the many places she called home, including Zephyrhills, the THI Mobile Home Park in Tavares, and the Baytree community in Tavares.
Her family and all who knew her will forever hold her in their hearts.
