Joseph L "Paul" Downey,75, of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Paul served in the United States Army. He is a member of St. Paul Catholic Church of Leesburg.
Paul is survived by his wife, Vivian; sons;, Edward (Eleanor) Downey of Lady Lake, Florida, and Michael (Amanda) Downey of DeBary, Florida; daughter, Audrey Downey of Leesburg; brother, Anthony Downey of Gainesboro, Tennessee; sisters, Lucille and Catherine ;and seven grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm in the Chapel at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish, Tavares, Florida. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 8:30 am at St Paul Catholic Church in Leesburg, Florida.
Burial will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis, Florida.
