John Clyde English's Obituary
John C English passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on January 24, 2023 after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Cheryl (Guyette) English. He was the loving father of Beatrix Kinn (David Rock) and Leslie (Tony) Selice, and the proud grandfather of Kris Kinn and Olivia Selice.
John was born to Purk and Flora English on June 2, 1932, in Franklin, PA. Early in his childhood, his family moved to the Buffalo, NY area. In 2000, he and his wife moved to Tavares, FL where he enjoyed the sunshine, warm weather and sitting on the porch watching the wildlife and sailing his radio controlled boats.
John was a veteran of the Korean War. He joined the US Navy in 1952 and proudly served on the USS Palau and USS Midway.
He enjoyed being a truck driver and in 1994, he retired from Carbon Express in NJ.
John was an avid reader, loved music, fast cars and motorcycles, and boating. He was a very talented woodworker and model boats builder and loved to make broken things work again.
He was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
