Jennifer Jenny Gallaugher's Obituary
Jennifer (Jenny) Ethel Gallaugher, of Tavares Florida, passed away peacefully in her home with her family on July 6, 2025. She was 81 years young.
Jenny was born in England on October 25, 1943. She was raised in a modest home in a family of four. As a young lady she met the love of her life, Duane, who was serving in the USAF and stationed in England. They married and moved to Ft. Lauderdale at the age of 21 and began their family.
They moved to Eustis in 1973. Jenny enjoyed working and experienced a handful of different occupations in her lifetime, she was a shoe salesperson, a florist for several years, and a receptionist for Auto Repair World, a business that Duane and she opened together.
Jenny carried such deep devotion and love for her family and animals of all kinds. She was most content in simple joys—knitting, floral design, bird watching and time with her family and friends that sure filled her heart up!
Her creativity and generosity were on display in every bouquet she crafted and scrapbook created. Jenny’s genuine kindness touched so many lives, especially during her eight years of volunteering with hospice care.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane P. Gallaugher, her truest love.
Jennifer is survived by her cheeky and loving children: Tracey (Steven) Tucker, Guy (Hatsumi) Gallaugher, and Gary (Michelle) Gallaugher; her cherished grandchildren: Allison (Paul) Folgore, Trevor Tucker, Olivia Tucker, Aya Gallaugher, Rika Gallaugher, Nami Gallaugher, Ian (Rachel) Gallaugher, and Emma (Chris) Weigand.
Her joy grew with the addition of her great-grandchildren, Xander, Lucian, and Aili Folgore.
Jennifer also leaves behind her dear sister, Lorna (Bill) Honnig, and their children: Nicole (Kris) Eber, with their son Noah, and Kyle (Suzie) Honnig, with their daughter Sydney.
Her love and critique for a proper “cuppa” tea have been carried down to even her great grandchildren!!
While our hearts are broken that she is no longer with us, we treasure our family memories together and her love that covered us all. She will forever be in our hearts.
Carry on, our Queen, we love you!
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11 AM, followed by a processional to Lakeside Memory Gardens. Jenny and Duane will be interned together at this time.
Parking for Hamlin & Hilbish will be in the parking lot across the street next to Lake Eustis Christian Church. There will be cones, a sign, and possible police assistance with crossing. For those unable to walk or needing additional assistance there is parking in the back of the building with a ramp to assist getting into the building.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to your local animal shelter or rescue organization, in honor of Jennifer’s enduring love for animals.
