Jennie Price LaMoreaux's Obituary
Jennie Price LaMoreaux of Sorrento, Florida passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the age of 79 years. She was born in Orlando and has lived in central Florida all her life. Jennie is Baptist by faith and attended Grace Baptist Church of Eustis until she was unable, due to her health. She worked for General Electric in Sorrento in the lightbulb manufacturing division for more than 10 years, when the plant closed. Later, she went to work for Agri-Starts, Inc. in Apopka and worked in the greenhouses. She retired after 5 years. Jennie loved to listen to gospel music. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing games on pogo online. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas R. LaMoreaux in October 2011 after 24 years of marriage. She was also preceded by five siblings, Robert, Betty, Ella, Gertrude and Pearl. Jennie is remembered and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Loretta B. Owens of Sorrento and Elizabeth (Mark) Beudel of Franklin, North Carolina; son, Jackie (Juli) Benham of Eustis; sisters, Ada Wilbanks, Edith Sollars, Lucy Blackman, Catherine Cullison, Cordelia Harrington and Ann Works; as well as 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A memorial ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, December 29 at 2:00 PM in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel in Eustis. Her final resting place will be at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis with her husband Douglas.
