Jane Ethel White's Obituary
Jane Ethel Peddie White, passed away June 2, 2015 at the age of 96. She was at the Williston Nursing Home. Jane was born on February 6, 1919 in Amsterdam NY to Hazel Carpenter Peddie and Edgar C Peddie. She attended Potsdam State Normal School 1937.
Jane married John S. White on January 22, 1938 in Colton, NY. She and (Army TSgt) John lived in Baltimore, MD during WWII where she worked at The Calvert Distillery. After the war they moved back to Potsdam, NY where they lived until 1973. They moved to the Chain of Lakes retirement community in Eustis, FL in 1973 where her husband John passed away in 1978.
Jane remained an active member of the Eustis community working her flea market until June 2008 when she entered the nursing home.
Jane loved dogs, playing bingo and shopping flea markets. She is survived by numerous nephews and nieces. Graveside services will be held in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis at 10 AM Tuesday, June 9th with Allan P. White, Minister officiating.
