James Michael Scharstein's Obituary
James Michael Scharstein of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on July 21, 1936, to his parents Walter and Helen Scharstein in Bellevue, Kentucky. James moved to Leesburg 31 years ago, from Virginia. On February 15, 1960, he married the love of his life Alice Scharstein in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. He worked for the government in the pentagon doing budgeting for the Army. James' passions included golfing, boating, and fishing.
James is survived by his wife of 63 years Alice; daughters Cathy Claus, Lori (Dave) Salter, and Elizabeth (Steve) Rosenberger; grandchildren Michael Claus, Zackary Wilson, Mary Rosenberger, Claire Rosenberger; and great grandchild Mikey Claus.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday April 13, 2023, at 10 AM in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel.
