Rev. Henry M. Lancaster's Obituary
Rev. Henry M. Lancaster, 96, Summerfield, FL went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2013 in Ocala, Florida under the loving care of his family and Nadine Lenoir. Rev. Lancaster was born on February 27, 1917 in Mayfield, Kentucky to his parents Ernest and Vera Lancaster. Rev. Lancaster served the Lord for many years as a Pastor. To him his greatest accomplishment was building the Poinciana Baptist Church in Poinciana, FL. He was also a member of Crossroads Community Church, Lady Lake, FL. where he was the eldest member. He was a Veteran of World War II and The Korean War serving and retiring with 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a former member of the Rotary Club in Jackson, Ohio. He is survived by his loving family: two sons: Hank (Nina) Lancaster of Cherry Hill, NJ and Randy (Mary Ann) Lancaster of Minneola, FL; two daughters: Sandra (William) Watson of The Villages, FL and Barbara (Roland) Batchelder of Whiting, NJ; a brother: William Lancaster of Spring Hill, FL; two sisters: Carolyn Cusack of Granbury, TX and Margie Knudsen of Onalaska, TX; eleven grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years Gladys Lancaster in 2007. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2:00PM at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg Chapel with a gathering prior to the service from 1:00PM till the hour of service with entombment to follow at Lakeside Memory Garden, Eustis, FL.
