She worked for many years as a manager in the telephone industry. She is survived by her sons, Floyd Apperson of Lakeland, FL, Edward Apperson of North Fort Myers, FL, Timothy Apperson of North Fort Myers, FL; daughters, Penelope Jenkins of North Fort Myers, FL, Cynthia Lynn Bryant of Leesburg, FL; brothers, Jerry Jones of Mississippi, Richard Jones of North Fort Myers, FL; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
