Ernest "Mike" Tilghman's Obituary
Ernest “Mike” Tilghman 68, of Eustis, passed away on February 26, 2014. He was born in Richmond, Virginia and moved here in 1990 from Orange Park, Florida. He was a Christian and a retired Safety Manager for Service Trucking of Leesburg. Mike was a Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and he was a former member of Pine Meadows Golf and Country Club of Eustis. He was predeceased by his wife “Sam” Tilghman in November 2013. Survivors include his daughter; Pamela (Brett) Keyes of Pennsylvania, brothers and sisters; Ted Tilghman of Norfolk, Virginia, William “Billy” (Leona) Tilghman of Jacksonville, Florida, Elizabeth “Betsy” (Billy) Hicks of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Nancy (Tommy Hunt) Mercer of Rocky Mount and Jay Marion (Vicki) Tilghman of Flemington, New Jersey, granddaughters; Laisha Stinson of Summit Hill, Pennsylvania and Alaijia Stinson of Ocala, Florida, his great grandson John Stinson of Summit Hill, Pennsylvania and many loving nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel at 2 PM on Sunday, March 2nd with Pastor Don Garms officiating. Mike and his beloved wife “Sam” will be laid to rest in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
