Elzie Givens' Obituary
Elzie Givens of Eustis, FL passed on April 13th, 2015 at the age of 92. He was born September 30, 1922 in Henry County, Headland, Alabama. Mr. Givens was predeceased by his wife of 72 years, Lucille Virginia Newman in 2014, parents, seven brothers, William, Thomas, Vernice, Dosey, Gaddis, Acrite and Oit and one sister Quida Herring. He loved Lake County and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed cooking, vegetable gardening, western movies, playing keyboard and singing hymns, country and bluegrass music, playing checkers and eating catfish.
He is survived by his daughter Marie (Victor) McGregor of Tavares, FL; son Larry Elzie (Debbie Brock) Givens of Eustis, FL; Grandson Eric H. McGregor of Austin, TX; Sister Nell Smith (age 100) of Grady, AL, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis, on Thursday, April 16th, 2015 at 11:00AM.
