Dennis C. Kruger's Obituary
Dennis C. “Lefty” Kruger of Tavares, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at the age of 67 years. He was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Dennis served his country in the US Army Reserves. He married Cecile on December 17, 1976. Lefty retired after 26 years as a supervisor, working for Uniroyal and Michelin. Together, he and Cecile moved to Inverness, FL in 2000 from Eau Claire and then to Tavares. Lefty was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the AmVets, both in Mount Dora. He was a huge sports fan, including Green Bay Packers football, Wisconsin Badgers basketball and Milwaukee Brewers baseball. He also enjoyed walking, hiking and biking. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 37 years, Cecile; daughters, Leatrice Kruger, Theresa Kruger and Marie Kruger, all of Tavares; brother, Gary Kruger and his wife, Sue of Eau Claire; sisters, Lana Hansen of Eau Claire and Mary Alice Light and her husband, Elliot of Eau Claire; mother-in-law, Blanche Caton of Eau Claire; close family friend, Robin Westbury of Bradenton, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to gather on Monday, April 21 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday at 9:00 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, 1650 W.
