Carl D. Compton's Obituary
Carl D. Compton 84, of Tavares, passed away on January 28, 2014. He was born in Dwell, Kentucky and moved here in 1984 from Ypsilanti, Michigan. He owned and operated Carl’s Vending Company in Ypsilanti before retirement. He was a Baptist and a Veteran having served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an enthusiastic Democrat and an avid golfer and bowler. Carl is survived by his wife Rosemary, and they were married for 63 years. Also surviving are his son Dr. Brett (Lynn) Compton of Lady Lake, grandsons; Dave (Kimberly) Compton and Dr. Brent (Ashley) Compton, great grandson Devin Compton all of Lady Lake and his brother John Compton of Ypsilanti, Michigan. The family will receive friends in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Monday, February 3rd from 5 until 7 PM, funeral services will be in the Chapel on Tuesday February 4th at 11 AM. Committal services with Military Honors will follow in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis
