Buel J. Clifton's Obituary
Buel J. Clifton of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the age of 91 years. He was born in Miller Grove, Texas. Buel served his country in the US Navy in World War II. After his military service, he married Charlotte. They have been married for 71 years. Buel was Chief Operating Officer for Household Finance International. He retired in 1988. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. He also enjoyed a good game of Golf. Buel loved the outdoors and enjoyed landscaping and bird watching. He also loved to hunt and travel. He is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife Charlotte; sons, Guy Clifton of Parker, Colorado, Greg Clifton of Telluride, Colorado and Brian Clifton of Austin, Texas; daughters, Sandy Kay of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Karen Erickson of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, Rita McBride of Mansfield, Georgia, Mary Clifton of Fort Collins, Colorado and Trish Wilshire of Oviedo, Florida; as well as 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, April 26 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Mount Dora. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Mt. Dora, Florida with burial to follow at Lakeside Memory Gardens.
