Ballard "Steve" Keesee's Obituary
Ballard S. “Steve” Keesee 92, of Eustis, passed away on August 11, 2014. He was born in Pike County, Kentucky and moved here from Cleveland, Tennessee in 2004. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares, V.F.W. Post 8087 of Eustis and was an active participant in the activities at Haselton Villa of Eustis. Steve is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter; Karen (Tim) Myland of Stone Mountain, Georgia, sisters; Betty Jean Smith of Worthington Springs, Florida and Thelma M. Scott of Piqua, Ohio, grandson; Grant (Elizabeth) Myland of Loganville, Georgia and his great granddaughter Brooke Myland. Services will be held in the First United Methodist Church of Tavares on Saturday, August 16th at 11 AM, the family will greet friends from 10 AM until the funeral hour. V.F.W. Post 8087 of Eustis will provide military honors. A Graveside inurnment will take place on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Lakeside Memory Gardens.
