Ashton K. McDonald's Obituary
Ashton K. McDonald, age 82, of Leesburg passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013. He was born January 8, 1931 in Lake City, SC and moved to Central Florida in 1977 from MA. He owned and operated a collision shop, was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Moose. He is survived by his sons, Steve McDonald of Leesburg, FL, Al McDonald of Apopka, FL, Joe McDonald of Altamonte Springs, FL; daughter, Patsy Lentz of Leesburg, FL; brothers, Kester McDonald of Kingstree, SC, Thomas Mc Donald of Leesburg, FL, Marshall (Ann) McDonald of New Zion, SC; sisters, Yvonne M. Broach, Janice M. Snipes, Ila M. (Marion) Cole, Judy M. (Gene) Hall all of Kingstree SC, and Libby M. (John L.) of Lake City, SC; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva McDonald; daughter, Karen McDonald and by two brothers, William McDonald and J.W. McDonald. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 1:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
