Arthur L. Art Hampy's Obituary
Arthur L. "Art" Hampy 95, of Leesburg, passed away on November 24, 2015. He was born in Fullerton, California, he moved to Eustis from Deland in 1948 and made this area his home since then. Art was a Christian and the retired Fleet Maintenance Director for Golden Gem Growers of Umatilla, he was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in World War II and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He was a member and Past Exalted Ruler of Eustis Lodge 1578 B.P.O.E. and Ernest Westbrook Post Number 41 of the American Legion of Eustis. He is survived by his wife Gail, they were married for 41 years, his children; Karen (John) Cramer and Darryl (Jamie) Hampy of Ocala, Brian (Cindy) Hampy, Robin (Billy) Hampy Pearce and Dawn (Audie) Hardin all of Eustis, his step children; Cathy (Randy) Clark of Umatilla and Kenneth (Julie) Carpenter of Eustis his grandchildren; Ryan, Nick, Kevin, Amanda, Matt, Jeffrey, Haley, Kerry,Chris,Tyler,Craig, Danielle,Samantha and Tana, and his great-grandchildren: Lacey, Kyler, Blake, Amelia,Hayden and Eli.
He was predeceased by his step daughter Cynthia Grady in 2012.
Services will be held in the Hamlin & Hilbish Chapel on Monday, November 30th at 2 PM with Pastor John Schneck officiating, the family will receive friends from 1 PM until the service hour. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Lakeside Memory Gardens, Eustis.
